I am not a coffee drinker; I’m a chocolate drinker so whenever I’m in a coffee shop I always look for chocolate on the menu. With The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf I always go for their Ice Blended drinks. Right now my favorite is Pure Chocolate Ice Blended.
Last weekend, together with my girlfriend, we spent more than 12 hours at the CBTL branch in Eastwood City. We had our breakfast, lunch and merienda there while making full use of their WiFi to do some online work. I have nothing but praises for their Eggs Benedict and their roast beef sandwich. When it was finally time to pay the bill, CBTL gave us a Swirl Rewards card. The girl at the cashier told me that we can earn points with every purchase when we present that card. That does not mean much to me because I’m only an occasional CBTL customer; twice a month’s visit is the norm for me. But when she said I can get free WiFi with that card with just any purchase, now that’s what got me ecstatic!
To avail of the cafe’s free WiFi, you first need to buy a minimum of P250 worth of their food and drinks. Then that’s when they’ll give you the password to connect to their network. That’s P250 per person and it’s a CBTL employee who will type the password on your laptop. With the Swirl Rewards card I now only have to buy a cookie to get their free WiFi. Now that would make me a frequent visitor!
But of course I’ll get more than a cookie. An Ice Blended is always great to have while working.
