I really want a dog, but as I am not yet that experienced as a dog owner, I have no intention of spending a lot of money on a purebred. While I want a labrador more than any other breed, I’m thinking owning one can wait until I can truly say that I can take care of such a dog.
Right now I’m eyeing a mixed breed: a puppy whose father is a beagle while the mother is an aspin (euphemism for asong kalye) or ‘asong pinoy’ for short. I saw an ad for it and I have yet to contact the breeder/seller.
While I have no immediate ambitions of becoming a breeder, I toy with the idea because I find it a very rewarding source of income. Imagine you can have the most beautiful dogs that you want while helping other people find the joy in having a pet dog.
